Nick + Kelsey
It was the perfect summer day to get married at Oswego Hills Winery in West Linn. Summer 2021 in Oregon has brought on some intense 100+ degree plus heatwaves. Lucky for Nick and Kelsey, they chose the weekend that was tucked in between two of the hottest weekends. It was slightly overcast, which kept the weather cool for the whole day. The weather was a perfect backdrop for the amazing vineyards, and open lawn that makes Oswego Hill’s such a beautiful place to visit and get married. On top of perfect temperatures for the day, there was 1 minute of rain, which brought them good luck, and the sun popped out a bit before sunset, for that perfect summer glow. It really was the perfect weather to get married in.
Beyond the weather being perfect, the day was such a beautiful thing to witness. Nick and Kelsey’s son Jack was hanging out the whole day and brought so much joy to the event. He is such a happy baby and I couldn’t believe he lasted the whole day with a smile on his face. I loved being able to capture one of the sweetest first looks with Kelsey and her dad. SO MUCH EMOTION! One of my favorite parts of the day was hearing the toasts that were shared. There was so much love given to the couples, but the best toast was Nick’s. He shared how much it meant to be able to look at all the tables and see all the people that loved and supported them. He said he knew he didn’t have time to go around and say something about each person, but then he proceeded to share about many many people around the reception. It was welcomed with tears and laughter. As a person who feels much love and support in my life, I understood the emotion that Nick felt. Sometimes when you are surrounded by the people that love you the most, it can be an overwhelming feeling of gratitude. I’m so thankful to have been able to witness the outpouring of love, and know that the people in his life feel appreciated. What a beautiful moment to have been a part of.
