It all started because I had three sisters, and we just had to take glamour shots of each other all through middle school and high school. Hundred of disposable cameras later, I used all my high school graduation money to buy a DSLR. After saying "yes" to all my friends headshots, engagements, and weddings I realized I had become a wedding photographer.
fAST FORWARD TO NOW...
Thirteen years later, and I still can't believe that I get to connect with the kindest humans of their most special day. From sneak peeks of the wedding dress, to helping you customize a wedding keepsake album, I get to experience so much joy through this process
IT ALL STARTED WHEN...
I know how priceless this investment is and treat it as such! In addition to your fine art images, you'll enjoy a high-touch, customized service at every step of the way.
ELEVATED
I love getting to know you as a couple and sharing in your joy on the big day. I want you to be totally comfortable and 100% yourselves in front of the camera!
CONNECTION-DRIVEN
It's true that "less is more." When it comes to photography, I have a keen eye for the details that truly matter and letting your love speak for itself.
SIMPLE
I spent a good portion of my childhood in a village in the Central African Republic, where my parents did medical work. Those early years of travel instilled in me a need to see the world and experience new things regularly. Thankfully I found a partner who feels the same way. Paul and I were married 13 years ago, and I’m so thankful we chose to make our wedding day unique to who we were, surrounded by the people we love. And we continue trying to live our lives that way every day.
CHAPTER ONE
A few years ago we built a tiny house on wheels in Indiana and drove it out to Portland, Oregon so we could be a little closer to the ocean, the mountains and the airport. We had the Opportunity to have our tiny house build filmed for an episode of HGTVs “Tiny House Big Living” show! We currently live in the tiny house while we fix up the house and property we bought last year.
CHAPTER TWO
We spend much of our time (and all of our money) on traveling, renovationg, being outdoors, and running with our dog, Sage. While we don’t have any children, Yann is a special little kid in our lives. He lived with us for 1.5 years while he had spinal surgery, but is back home in the Ivory Coast with his family now. We are still very connected to him and you will see his cute face pop up from time to time. Our desire is to share the grace and love we have found in Christ to the people we come in contact with each day. We are always trying to learn better ways to do that, and pray that we can leave those around us better than they were before.
CHAPTER THREE
Hi! I’m Bekah and I’m so glad you stopped by. I’m a natural light photographer based in Portland, Oregon, serving the PNW, Midwest and any other destination you could imagine!
"everything and more that we could have dreamed of"
"Bekah has an incredible gift and talent"
"among the best decisions we made"
"above all, bekah has a heart of gold"
