After MANY reschedules and plans changed on them over and over this past year, Kate and Fernando finally were able to celebrate with family and friends at the West End Ballroom this fall. In a meeting one day, Kate said something that really stuck with me. She casually mentioned that none of the planning and rescheduling was a big deal compared to some of the health scares that had come up in their lives this past year. I was so struck by how beautiful it was that she was able to have that perspective. Even though having to change her wedding date 3 times, it was so clear that she was aware of the important things in life and marriage, which go far beyond just the beautiful union and celebration of a wedding day.

All that to say, I was so thankful that they were able to finally be all together! Thankfully the rain stayed away for just the right amount of time for them to be able to share their vows to each other in during the first look and we were able to take portraits outside!

Kate had a vision to fill the whole venue with candles. If you have not been to West End Ballroom before, it has a beautiful stairway leading up to the reception hall. Every hair was covered in candles, and the walkway down the aisle was also covered in candles.

It was such a romantic setting for them to be married in. The dancing started early and was still in full swing when a bridesmaid emerged on the dance floor in a gigantic cow suite. The whole day was full of joy and laughter and I was so happy to see it end with even more laughter.

Kate and Fernando, I know this year past year was not what you had planned. I am so inspired by your strength and joy as so many changes were brought your way. You both are so wonderful and I am so excited for you to finally be married!
