Spencer + Julia

Something I try to tell all of my couples in initial talks is to try to make their wedding day as authentic to them as possible. My dream wedding day was all about celebrating with as MANY people as I could have there. My friend’s wedding was all about having an intimate dinner with only a few close friends. Whatever matters most to you is how I believe you should celebrate. I loved that throughout the planning process it was clear that Julia and Spencer knew what was most important to them, and stayed focused on that. They planned a day centered around their friends and family and I loved being able to watch them celebrate together.  Julia talked in her speech about the reason why they waited through the pandemic for their wedding. It was because of each and every person that was there. They wanted to be there with all of them together celebrating the most important day. And The Old School House had the perfect lawn to host such a beautiful day for all of their loved ones.

One of the things I learned throughout the ceremony and beautiful words shared about the couple, is that Julia is the life of the party. Not only does she bring the fun, but she also plans incredible parties. Apparently she plans costume and theme parties on the regular, and they sound pretty epic. If the beautiful celebration she planned at the Old School House was any indication of the type of parties she throws, I’d love to experience another one. From the custom cocktails to the s’mores bar– it was such a beautiful night.

Beyond the party, it was so incredible to witness the love that Julia and Spencer feel for each other. Their personal vows made it evident that they both had a lot of admiration and respect for reach other. When you see two people that truly love each other it is such a beautiful thing. Thank you for allowing me to see such love between the two of you and the people in your lives.
